Arroyo Seco Pottery Studio

Arroyo Seco, is one of my favorite places to visit when in New Mexico. This pottery studio is one a several unique shops in this small village. I wish I could say to painted this En Plein Air, but I didn't. The photo I used was taken a few summers ago. The perfect time of day. Shadows and light.... PERFECT! Painting is much easier when the light is right.
9x12 oil on gallery wrap canvas - $100.00

This painting can be viewed at The Wine Therapist until June 11. The Wine Therapist is located on Skillman @ Live Oak.

  1. I enjoyed a visit to your blog this morning. I am a former Professor of Fine art and Humanities living in PA. Sight loss two years ago took away my ability to paint, so I am now doing pottery. I did start a blog about sight loss to help others and to discuss my own transition from painting to pottery. Enjoyed your pictures, and always wanted to paint with encaustics but never got to it. NICE work.

  2. I love this picture. It is very well done. Your lights are just great. The way you captured the shadows on everything , doors, windows, sign is amazing. Keep up the good work.
